I was born deformed; ill and foul, just like my father
We do what we do, we don’t bother about doing right.
We should be the best of friends, like birds of same feather
But in that household, where from dawn to dusk it’s night
Everything wrong was norm and good was a mutual enemy.
We don’t know, we don’t love, and we don’t even care!
In our world, the strong squash the weak, despite family
Our fate it seemed was sealed and life not really dear
It was not until I was found, that it dawned I was lost
I only recognized hatred after my encounter with Love.
I never could imagine that anyone would bear the cost
Of my redemption, least of all, the innocent one from above.
Life adopted me and now I breathe and breed in light.
My old nature expired, I live and thrive, a new breed.
Joy appeared and grief departed, smiles spring forth
Because Life adopted the dead with an eternal deed
Our romance with the Divine; the love story of how Abba courted, won, and keeps us constantly cared for in His eternal love, is one that will never grow old. The telling of it is renewed like His love and mercy towards us, appearing fresh and new every morning. It is such an amazing story that nothing equals it in experience and in telling. Yet, in all of my encounters, I am yet to witness any story or adventure as amazing as when we reach out to others, with the same love and mercy, which our heavenly Father lavishes on us. It touches lives everywhere it is told and leaves the fingerprints of our Abba’s love in places that we have been. May we love, in truth and indeed, like we have been loved by the One who Himself is Love, amen.
Glory!
