What do you do when one plus one
Is neither one, nor adds up to two?
How do you cope when all you have
Is not enough to marry hope to reality?
Where do you start from, when you
Don’t know where it all begins or ends?
Who do you turn to when all else
Has turned to gusts of dusts and wind?
When heaven seems so far from reach
And hell not worth a thought or try
When yesterday frightens today
And tomorrow holds no assurances?
In a corner of Abba’s incredible heart
I am soothed in the stillness of peace
In the hollow of His flawless hands
Safety secured me to grace
Under the shadow of His wings
I hide the vulnerabilities of growth
Till I find my feet in the center of His will
To flourish in everlasting fruitfulness.
Yes, now I know: When I don’t know
What to do, where to go, or who to call
I don’t wander or wonder, looking high and low;
I head home, sit still, tune in, and listen well
That I may know the able One, the faithful God!
O that I may know Him who is beyond knowledge!!
Things don’t always work as planned. We are compelled to adjust, to change, and to continue to register progress despite the confusions and dilemmas we must deal with. Ignorance befriends those who court it. To those who are constantly seeking, knowledge avails itself. And there are times when what we know is not enough. In such times, may we remember to call on Him who knows it all. He is well able to step in and make up whatever is lacking in our faith and knowledge if we ask in trust.
Avoid ignorance like leprosy, its path is distraction, its end destruction but knowledge empowers. To those who seek, knowledge allows itself to be found. May you never be tired of seeking, of learning, of growing in grace and in truth, and of looking up to the Omniscient One who is always there for us, amen!
Glory!
