Through the storm and whirlwind,
Through dark tunnels and earth quakes,
Through traumas and impossibilities,
Faithful as ever, grace delivers safely
At the doorstep of boundless possibilities.
Irrespective of how events turn,
Grace teaches us to glide and soar
On the wings of time, at the nick of time
Till on the peak of the rock we stand,
Having done all, having given all.
Grace tries, then stretches us
To reveal our inner beauty,
Displaying the good beyond us:
It exposes the hidden greatness of God
Accessed by the willing and obedient
Grace gives us a platform to share our personal encounters that reveal the various sides of the one and only Jehovah. You can sing it, dance it, write it, preach it, pray it, it is all acceptable. Whatever you do, the bottom line is that God’s glory finds an outlet through a willing and obedient heart. Grace oozes out of the life of him who has found his place in God, as he daily grows in it and by it. God’s peculiar grace adds a unique flavor to our efforts to make the difference clear despite similarities.
Often, we worry that our work and family limit our abilities and capacities to love and serve God as we would have wanted to. Yet, truth remains that every seeming constraint provides us awesome opportunities to showcase God-alive and God-at-work in us. You don’t need all the time and privileges. What you have each day is more than sufficient. And that is all that God asks of you.
God doesn’t ask of us what we don’t have and can’t generate. It may not be obvious but He knows if we have it and He demands that we call it forth if it is there. God doesn’t go for the smart and savvy even though He would use any vessel that yields itself. The point is, He is not limited in who and what He can use. God uses even the weak and foolish things to confound the strong and the wise. If He transforms the ‘useless’ and the ‘worthless’, then we all should know that there is hope and help in His name.
I grew up hearing, “Whatever you do, do it as unto the Lord.” It was much later that I learned that when we give our best to the Lord, through our daily commitments, irrespective of who and what is involved or at stake, the multiplying effects of grace will be released upon the work of our hands. It is not limited to serving in Church and mission field. Whatever God has called us to do, wherever that may be, when we do it as unto the Lord, the Lord receives our offering and breathes increase upon our sacrifices.
You don’t have to be like others or do it like the rest. All you need is just to be you. Whatever your hands find to do, from today, look on it as a ministry, as opportunity to show or share His grace and love. God is seeking every possible avenue to get out there and reign on earth as He does in heaven. When you embrace every opportunity that comes your way, and work it as if you are doing it for the Lord, You indeed would have done it for the Lord. He can use anything we make available. He will accept every sacrifice we lay on the altar, at His feet.
There are no limits to how and where we can serve God. No caps on how we can express our love for Him. Every step in righteousness is acceptable to Him. Time is in your hands, to redeem all you can. Procrastination is a robber. What do we profit, if we gain the whole world and miss out of the very essence of our salvation? What will you offer that day when you stand before him – profits or excuses?
God is not asking you to move mountains and build skyscrapers. He is seeking those little things that seem not to matter; for you to use the opportunities that daily come your way to be a pointer to Him. He is not asking you to build a massive auditorium and preach forever. He needs you to be an extension of Him to those you meet each day – that they might see and experience the Christ in you. Will you be a good and reliable ambassador today?
Glory!
