They say, “If you fall, something is wrong.”
I say, every fall is not for wrong.
Sometimes you fall for those around
In need of
the grace you embody.
Sometimes you fall for those on ground,
Assailed by failures, so they meet you
Where they are and learn what they should.
Life is not lived only at heights, failure is often
Not punishment. Joy is not a function of peaks
Failure is for no one, an end. S
ometimes
Fall can be a
message of hope and comfort
To those down and out; sometimes a signal
Of a new beginning; and sometimes a means
That exposes you to
evil thriving beneath
So you can confront, beat it and release
The trapped and helpless seeking escape.
Sometimes, you fall for your own learning
Some others you fall for the learning of others.

Food for Thought: Bitter as it may sound, fall is not always a punishment or about wrong. It is very unfortunate that we consider things that we don’t approve or like as negative. We quickly label them unpleasant and develop aversion especially if they adversely influence the expressions and impressions we would rather accommodate or project before the world. Driven by our bid to meet and surpass the standards the world has set for us, we are disappointed with events and processes that lead us contrary to where we would rather be headed or located. Yet, in God’s workings, everything lines up for good at the end of the day because God does not work according to the world’s values and standards. God does not work just for “Me” and “I” and “You” and “Them.” There are so many others that come to play when God is at work and all of those are considered in His plan for each and every one of us. In order to reach us, Christ had to give up His God-nature, descend from glory, stoop down to our level, become like us. Christ took a fall for us: He stepped down and low to reach you and me. God had us in mind when He let Christ go through the cross. Same applies till date. God allows us sometimes, to be disappointed, denied, demoted, rejected, evicted so that we can get away from where we are to where we ought to be, in order to reach those there who truly need to be touched by what has been invested in us. God lets us drop sometimes so He can use what is in us to reach those in the place where we are fallen, who truly are in need of His touch. In the end, He does not abandon us there. Like He raised Christ, when our mission is accomplished, God will move heaven and earth if He has to, in order to reach us and move us to where we should be.

Scripture: For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthian 5: 21

Prayer: Dear Lord, as You use others to help me and use me to help others, may my hope rest in You and in Your purpose, irrespective of my location or position, amen.
