Gods of this age demand sacrifices
Of their subjects, sometimes cheap
And some others way too expensive.
Their subjects suffer to offer
But God of heaven and earth came
To His chosen: He came prepared
Bearing the sacrifice for our sin.
He came, the sacrifice for the salvation
Of those He loved and sought.
He came not to take, He came to give
And He didn’t give anything
Less than His very Life:
Two thousand years ago
He came seeking those rejecting
He bowed beaten and bleeding
He died, the ultimate sacrifice
For man’s redemption:
O what a sacrifice!
Food for Thought: Help! Has anybody been able to grasp yet, the sacrifice God made on the cross for us? Have you? Eternal life succumbed to death, God of heaven embraced the grave, Light of the world overshadowed by darkness: but it’s just for a while; so also is every challenge before us: resurrection morning is coming. Don’t give up for even in the grave, Jesus is Lord!
Scripture: By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10: 10.
Prayer: Dear Lord, may I live content that the sacrifice You made on the cross was more than enough to wash and keep me clean, pure in Your sight, amen.
