Often restless, we wander, we stray
But when our hearts return to Him
He returns to us with forgiveness
And healing. When wandering feet
Find Home, He welcomes us with
Precious peace and promises
Double for our troubles, to make
The glory of the latter
Greater than the former.
In our repentance, faith trumps fears
In our return, faith finds firm foothold
And the promises, a sure dwelling
As words turn to sight
In surpassing peace
That no storm can break or steal.
Food for Thought: All of us were born sinners. None of us is perfect. Everyone of us who acknowledges his sin and accepts Jesus shall be saved. Everyone means every soul – not one of those will be left behind because God is able to save to the uttermost, everyone who repents and returns to Him.
Scripture: “Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” Joel 2: 12.
Prayer: Dear Lord, it is so much easier to continue in error than to repent and return: as often as I need to, help me make that change O God! Amen.
