Natural abilities, like waves tossed by forces
Within and without, come and go, high and low
Here and there. The spiritual, like rock- eternal
Stands unmoved before pounding rains, clashing
Waves and raging storms. While tangible fades
The invisible endures through the impossible
When we learn to look with God, when we learn
To look like God, then we’ll learn to see like God:
To see His Way and His Word though invisible
Yet unveiled; expressed, magnified above all
That’s visible. Seated in Him above all, we can
Stand the test of time, like rock; immovable
Overcoming all that comes at us.

Food For Thought: Those who choose to walk with God and to trust Him every step of their journey are like rocks by the seaside. It doesn’t appear to be or to have much, yet rock is a formidable structure and a sight to behold. Its rugged strength and unmoving stance does not spare it from clashing waves, shifting sands and whizzing foams. None of these on their own can stand the strength of the rock. All of them put together do not have what it takes to move the rock. Yet they don’t stop. So long as that rock remains in that environment, these elements will continue to threaten to overcome it. So are believers in the world. Standing on the eternal Rock of ages, Christ our Lord and on His Word, we have all it takes to stand and not be moved by transient conditions of life and the environment wherein we find ourselves. For as long as we are in this world, contrary forces will continue to prance and pound but rooted in Christ and hedged by His Word, like that rock by the seaside, we have all it takes to stand upright and shine for our God.
