There is a stench that rules out there
Overpowering, domineering odor!
It is a smell that stinks bizarre
It is the stench of death and grave.
I long to save my roiling innards
Keep my nose at home, at peace
But duty calls both day and night

Come out of hiding sons of Light
It’s time to spread the fragrance
Of life, it’s time to shine your light
It’s time to evict this stinky stench
It’s time to kick this darkness out
Except you arise, darkness reigns
Except you emerge, the stench stays.”

Food For Thought: I am very adventurous and love exploring new places and things. Unfortunately, when you hear the terrible news making rounds; how tourists are terrorized and innocent lives wasted, it feels better and safer to just duck and court troubles no more by venturing outside your safe zone. Truth is, you don’t have to go so far to get into trouble. How many have been killed buying groceries or watching a show? Trouble lurks everywhere; in the air and in the streets, in high mountains and low valleys, out there and indoors, at work and at home, just name it. So do we all sit back at home and not dare outside because there are bad people out there and terrible things happen out there? I read a recent development where criminals dress as utility men, knock on doors of the unsuspecting, access their homes and wreak havoc. Evil is everywhere but it thrives when good hides. It is deceptive to think that evil will cease if it meets no resistance or opposition. In fact, that is when it wins. Evil has two goals; to intimidate you so you never take a stand, or influence you to become incensed and more evil than the one you started out to fight. The fact that evil is out there should motivate us to get up and get out: not to take senseless risks, and not to go into hiding either. Instead, to let the good in us spread out and overcome the evil that is seeking to overtake and rule. So long as good is in hiding, evil will thrive. Evil will only back down when good takes a stand and takes the charge. Darkness will be subdued when light shines.
