My will is not God’s will
But His will can be my will
My ways are not God’s way
But His way can be my way
His thoughts are far from me
But I can tap into His plan
His mind is higher than mine
But mine can be transformed
To reach and resemble Him.
When I take all that is me
Lay them all down at His feet
He draws me close, holds me near
To know the beat of His heart
And see the path He would take.
As I bow my all to Him in worship
He lifts me up to where He is
Molds and makes me one with Him.
Food For Thought: In the beginning, God made us like Himself. What the fall accomplished was that we became like another who truly is not our father. God’s work of grace in us is to restore us to the fullness of the glory from which we fell: the glory of our Father. By His Spirit and through His word, God’s work of grace is to reclaim us; make us more and more like Him; until all of us is redeemed and becomes all for Him. The reason why Christ paid such a dear price on the cross is not so we can build fancy churches and hold exotic programs. Christ died so we can live, not for ourselves and our dreams but for God: to God. The Cross was our reclamation: our repurchase back to the Father. God gave the Holy Spirit not so we can speak in tongues and do signs and wonders but as a guarantee to restore us fully to the Father. Every other thing is a part of the process not the goal. The process is not the target, neither the resources associated with it. And the means cannot and should not become an end. The target is not you and me and all we yearn and claim. The goal is that you and I will be transformed into the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
Scripture: That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. John 17: 21.
Prayer: Dear Lord, may I know and relish my oneness with You through every circumstances of life, amen.
