Sitting under the tree of condemnation
That shield no one from inescapably
Scorching h
eat of pending damnation
I mourned t
he loss of glory divine
The loss of life e
ternal, loss of intimacy
With Abba: Father like no other!
Helpless and hopeless, beat, bowed and bent
Under crushing weights of inevitable
Judgment, Love sought and found me
Mercy c
leared my debts, Grace bequeathed
A fresh beginning that made me new:
God came to me in faces so tender
The Almighty showed up for me
In garments so lowly, yet so mighty.

Food For Thought: I have walked closely with God for many years and seen the many faces of the Almighty yet I know no mortal can see all of Him. I have scoured and searched and taken in all I can about God, yet the more I know Him, the more I learn that God is beyond knowing. I have seen the face of the Healer, the Helper, the Savior, the Provider, the Protector, the Deliverer, the Defender; countless faces of the Almighty in diverse situations, yet the more I experience, the more it dawns, that His faces are so much more than I can ever count. God is everything good and that everything is way beyond our human imagination. God can do all and our minds cannot even begin to grasp everything in the list of that ‘all.’ When you think, “Aha, now I know Him!” God shows up in totally different way that leaves presumptive and arrogant jaws on the floor of absolute amazement. God is God, no other word and no sentence so lengthy, can ever describe Him better. We use good because we can’t find a better word yet good is not sufficient description. God is just God. God is so God. That’s the best way to describe Him, every other word or sentence falls so short!

Scripture: “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelations 1: 8.

Prayer: Dear Lord, for all You have done and still do for me, blessed be Your name O Most High, now and forever more, amen.
