Beware of hunters appearing as shepherds
Beware of killers in keeper’s skin
Beware of hunters who in truth are leopards
Beware of greed in garbs of charity
Beware of hunters who are carnivores
Beware of slave masters touting liberty
Beware of hunters who trail the frail
Beware of ambition camouflaged as care
Beware of hunters and their sneaky banters
Beware of arrogance screened by false humility
Beware of hunters who parade religion
Beware of exploiters of the weak and the lost.

Food For Thought: The most unfortunate thing about the times we live in is the fact that the vulnerable attract no kindness. It appears those days when weakness compelled compassion is past. The strong exploit the weak, the rich intimidate the poor, the haves oppress the have-nots, on and on the list goes. Whatever happened to helping the poor? Instead, the needy are flagrantly lured and robed of whatever is valuable in their possession because nobody will intervene. The man who has steals from him who has none so he can have more, in broad daylight, and then he goes flaunting his loot without shame or remorse. Charity has become a show, driven by quest for recognition and commendation instead of compassion. How did we get to this point where selfishness rather than kindness now drives the goals and intents of many? Who will be the help of the weak, the voice of the oppressed? One of the unforgettable lessons I learned during my doctorate research is that we are all agents of change. You may not be able to save the world but you can change you: you can help this trend by changing your attitude toward people and things. You can be an agent of change by letting the change start with you, treating those around you with kindness and compassion. And as one begets another, your kindness will touch someone to reach someone and one-by-one, we can reach the world for good, starting with you and me.

Scripture: Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation! Phil 3: 2.

Prayer: Dear Lord, may I not hearken to the voice of strangers: may I smell them from afar and get out of their way, amen.
