He who knows all unspoken desires and hears
Unasked questions saw beyond my rebellion-
My reactions but masked admiration for One
So flawless; for who He is, His ways and works:
Blossoming in my heart, shining in my eyes
Each day as we walked together. He understood
My inner longing to be like Him. All these while
We parleyed, I copied Him. Even in my wanderings
I wanted Him; more and more of Him: all of Him.
Crazy craving could never veil the deepest longing
To be like Him so He set to work, to fulfill a dream
I couldn’t yet piece together: to make me as He sees fit.
Now I am not just a duplicate, I am an original version
Of Him; He cut me to size and sewed me up
He made me fit and just like Him.
Food For Thought: There are those who are very clear about their goals and dreams in life. There are others who have not the slightest clue of what those should and would be: they take it one day at a time. Then there are those, knowing or uncertain, just want to live their best every single day that life affords. Whichever, whatever, I have seen countless times that even in our ignorance, through our uncertainties, as we embrace each day with sincere hearts, giving it our very best, in the end, it all comes together. We behold the results we may not have envisaged, which also has lingered undefined deep in our hearts without our realizing exactly what it is we truly wanted. God sees the heart: God answers our hearts. And one thing that is common between the good and the bad is that both want the best. Our ideas of that best may vary, so also our approaches toward its attainment, yet God know what is best for each of us and how to make it our reality. God works wonders when we do our best and let Him be God in those areas we know not what to do. God works it all together for good.
Scripture: Come, and let us return to the Lord; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. Hosea 6:1.
Prayer: Dear Lord, Your ways are past finding, Your works, beyond understanding: help me, in everything and at every time, to trust my life in Your able hands, amen.
