I seek for words to carry to Him
The wonders brewing in my heart
Stirred to life by His countenance
Stirred to thrive in His presence
“You are awesome beyond words
You do much more than I could
Ever think or ask. You surpass
My dreams. For even before
My desires are fully formed
You know them. For even before
My dreams assume meaning
You understand them. You tutor
My heart to dream Your dream,
To chase Your goal: my hope is You.
In strange places, in strange ways
You daily fulfill my utmost goal:
Molding, making me just like You.

Food For Thought: Have you ever had things well up in your heart, to the point that it brims and you are at loss of words. You are seeking, digging, searching for words that will neither diminish nor distort the worth, and not disrupt the flow of what you seek to express. Words that will do external justice to that internal consciousness. Words that will speak truth, quality and sufficiency. But in such times, when words fail, silence adorns ethereal robes, rising, filling, consuming, and soothing, doing for us, that which words failed to, and so much more. Are you in a place where you are overwhelmed? It’s okay. Don’t struggle. It’s okay if you can’t find words enough. It’s okay if you can’t find the right words. Don’t try to force the words lest you disrupt the flow. Don’t fight the words lest you diminish the value. Be still as you know: let your silence speak the wonders no words can ever capture.

Scripture: “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.” Revelation 4: 11.

Prayer: Dear Lord, You are faithful despite my unfaithfulness, worthy despite my unworthiness, mighty despite my frailties, able despite my inabilities: thank You for not being like me, help me to become more and more like You, amen.
