How did I become like You O God?
Not by trying – trial and error is not the route
To You.
If I had to ask, I wouldn’t know how
To frame this request. I
f I had to work it
I wouldn’t know where to start. Even before
I became,
I was in Your plan and when I fell
I was in Your plan. Through the routes
That took high and low, I was in Your plan
And while You worked, I fought, I failed
Yet I was in Your plan and give up, You won’t
Until I have become Your plan
Until I have become like You.

Food For Thought: Many of the things we tag accidents are surprises only to us. Nothing surprises the Creator of all that was and is and ever will be. He was there from the beginning, been there all these while and will continue to be even when all else has passed away. And He is not out there at loss, wondering what to do with a world running riot on Him. God is not shocked by our evolution and revolutions. He is not at all surprised that things are going the way they are. Before the beginning commenced, He already knew the end. Not only of the world but of all of His creation. So He is not aghast that the saint turned sinner or amazed that the sinner now is godly. No, it is only you and I that get surprised and shocked by changes, especially the sudden ones. He knows it all. God’s silence as we perceive it is not ignorance: it is His choice, His style. As you go through life’s journey, even in those times you are convinced you have fallen off His plan and are out of His way, God knew long before you got there. God is walking through it all with you despite the desperate loneliness you may feel. And God will be there in the end. He has worked it all together for good and He is with you to bring you through: God is that faithful and more.

Scripture: . . . who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began. 2 Timothy 1: 9.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I am grateful that You have a plan that You are committed to follow in spite of my fancies and dramas: I am grateful that You are God, You have a purpose, and You are able to see it through even in my life, amen.
