Simple-mindedness opened a door I shouldn’t?
Ignorance tightened the noose around my neck
What I thought a game, was battle of life and death.
I was bored, itching for action, aching for change
So I went exploring. I found what I sought not
Too late it dawned, I tampered with the untouchable
I opened a door better left shut; my itchiness
Awakened a sleeping giant I wasn’t fit to fight
Too late it dawned: I bit more than I could chew.
Food For Thought: When you lead yourself into trouble, then you are in trouble indeed! Then you need help. The wise will not employ denial or avoidance, or relocate to false hope. They will seek help before it is too late and very often, those who seek the right way, in the right place, at the right time, are bound to find. However, when God leads and you find yourself in trouble, then you shall not be moved because He will keep you in perfect peace as your mind stays on Him. Even when we have missed it, we should not be afraid to turn back to God, to seek His face and His help, to place our trust and cares in His hands. In repentance and trust, we will experience His touch in the flames of life, and emerge stronger, better and wiser because of Him. Life is a worthy adventure when we take off the fear factor and rest our trust in the good Shepherd. To everything, there is a purpose and even when we miss it, God is behind all of lives’ events, working both the good and the bad together, to make them beautiful in His time.
Scripture: My son, do not walk in the way with them, keep your foot from their path. Proverbs 1: 15.
Prayer: Dear Lord, in times when I should lie low, help me to stick close to You because my randomness always ends in more trouble than I can handle, amen.
