In the beginning, when Abba sculpted life
It was to be enjoyed not endured.  Adam
F
irst son of Abba was enthroned in Eden
The head not the slave, to rule not to struggle.
Adam, master of Abba’s creation; his rule
Abba approved. As he named, Abba endorsed.
Obedient, his word was law, creation at peace.
In creation management, Father and son were one
And in their unity, creation thrived. Life was good
As God created all in the beginning, life was bliss.

Food For Thought: Have you tried to imagine the kind of life God had in mind when He made us? It was at the very least, a well ordered life. God was not juggling creating us and where we will live, only to recall along the line that we will have to eat, that we will need recreation and all of that. Though confusion reigned in the beginning, creation was the most organized affair. God had it all set; each in its time. Before God brought man into the picture, the stage was set: His needs were met. Man was not made to go searching and toiling for daily bread. Man was not made to struggle and to suffer for anything. God provided inexhaustible measures of all Adam would need to enjoy life. Eden was the perfect life. What we have today is very far from that but as humanity alienates themselves farther from their Maker, we do ourselves a favor by drawing closer to Him through obedience. As we hearken to His commands, God works through our imperfect systems to perfect that which concerns us. Each time something happens, I have no doubt that it could have been worse if not for God. I believe that God is actively involved in my life, in our lives, intervening from the least to the greatest. We may not have Eden right here like Adam and Eve did but we can get as close as possible through our obedient walk with our loving Father.

Scripture: All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. John 1: 3.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I acknowledge that all You made is good and perfect: if there be any ill, I own up, I introduced it: You are good altogether and all Your ways are true; there is no evil in You, nothing wrong with You, help me to be more and more like You, amen.
