Where can mortals find the Omnipresent?
Not in heaven though His Throne is there
Not on earth though His feet rest here
Not in hell though He’s been there:
He goes wherever, however, whenever He pleases
Creation is His and for His pleasure. Almighty,
Self-sufficient yet interested in us; He comes
Refreshing, reviving, restoring us by choice
His will inspires, His ways preserves, His Word
Guides in ways of joy unspeakable, where love is true
Where life is real, giving and serving unforced
Values eternal, and fruits run back to the Root.
Though flames rage and waves billow
Pressures suck us closer, deeper into Him
And wherever you find yourself; high or low
Home and abroad; you’ll see Him, know Him
For He’s not in fantasies and ecstasies
But in ways of Truth, you’ll find the Prince of Peace.
Food for Thought: The world is turning upside down today not just because science is claiming creation and disputing God’s Word. The world is chaos today not because the devil has become worse than he was when he was first expelled from the glory of heaven. The world has become a raging fire, consuming those it was meant to nurture because men are devising their ways to God, and their ways for God. These ways spur a group to rise against another, to prove its superiority and authenticity, disproving that of others. Each way is presented as the ultimate and so, a path that should bring us together becomes the birthing place for disagreements that metamorphose into monstrous atrocities; you go my way or die! We forget, that God who made man gave him the most powerful tool to live by: the right to choose. We forget, the Son who laid down His life for the salvation of man, reinforced that power of choice the Father gave His creation: Christ chose to die for man so that man may choose to live for God. We forget, that the first apostles who inherited this gospel from Christ followed that same path: nobody was ever forced into the faith. So why is there so much hatred and destruction in the name of God? It is time to crosscheck our ways.

Prayer: Dear Lord, in these times and days when men are continuously creating and recreating what they tout as “Your way,” which in truth may be so far from it, keep my heart at peace, my eyes on You, and my feet on the path of Truth for that is where You have always been, where You always will be, amen.
