On my legs, I am dwarfed
At the mercy of roaming giants
Seeking for peace to steal
Searching for hope to kill
Hunting for lives to destroy.
Standing on Your Word by faith
I see farther than their eyes;
Above their lifted heads
Beneath enticing words.
Standing in His name by faith
I can look giants and storms
In the eyes and not be moved.
Food For Thought: If you have not experienced the transformative power of faith, you need to cry out to God for change. It is not a story, the exploits of faith are reality and a “Must Experience” for anyone who calls on the name of the Lord. Robed in God’s righteousness, under the covering of His grace, we appear so beautiful, so lovable that people emulate and even envy us, ignorant that with such glory comes also a commensurate weight of cross. When we stand upon His Word by faith, giants flee at the bold and courageous expression of our faith. When we make known God’s counsel and people see them come to pass, they think we are superhuman. When in obedience to God’s instructions we walk in extraordinary favor, those around conclude that we are superstars. How can anyone be immersed in grace and their life be anything less than amazing? It is the work and the gift of God lest any of us should lay claims to what we can neither generate nor explain. Don’t write off miracles. Don’t write off impossibilities. With God on our side, anything can happen; anybody and situation can change. It doesn’t matter what’s up, before, or behind us. Irrespective of what we are going through, with His Word in our hearts, faith on our lips, hope in our eyes and willingness to step out and follow as He leads, giants will turn their backs and impossible will melt before our eyes. Why? Because nothing is impossible with faith that is rooted in God and His word.
Scripture: . . . rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 2: 7
Prayer: Dear Lord, may my faith be founded and rested in no other but You and Your Word, amen.
