Life may not seem fun or fair sometime
What I make of it remains my lot
Duty calls for my best all the time
Those I can’t, Abba will complete.
After I have cheerfully offered my all
Then it is time to wait and not to worry
For God to make highways in the desert.
I will wait for Him and not hurry
For God to lead to the Promised Land
And while I wait, I will seek His face
And rest my fears upon the Lord
While I wait, I will serve with grace
And cast my cares into His right hand
While I wait, I will worship the Prince
Whose peace rules my life and world
While I wait, I will say amen and yes
Find light and delight in His Word
While I wait, I will savor His favor
Hinge my hope, and anchor my faith
On Him who is never weak or late
And when my obedience is fulfilled
Change will break forth like dawn
Until then, I will serve while I wait
I will praise and worship at His feet.
There is not a person who is not trusting God for one thing or the other. We all have needs that only Him can meet. For some of these issues, we have done all we know with what life turned up on our doors and are presently left with no other choice but to keep looking up to Him who provides according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Abba does not want us to fold our hands and sit and wait it out. The idle becomes a tool in the hands of the enemy. That doesn’t mean that we should bury ourselves in aimless activities to escape. No! That becomes a distraction in itself that makes us unavailable or unable to recognize our miracles when they arrive. Instead, Abba would rather show us the way to wait: a noble and lovely way to wait and to keep doing something while doing nothing; praise and worship! Find reasons to thank and praise the Almighty. Invent every possible excuse to worship His Majesty! Let your creativity go to work at His feet as you crown Him who is deserving of glory and honor with your heart’s dearest affection and attention.
As you wait, I pray that the King of glory will “Make you intelligent and discerning in knowing Him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is He is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life He has for His followers, oh, the utter extravagance of His work in us who trust Him – endless energy, boundless strength!” Amen. (Ephesians 1:17-19, The Message Bible).
Glory!
