Awesome, magnificent, infinite grace;
No word can express, all that you are
No offense or defense ever enough
To topple or rumple the beauty you are:
God’s amazing goodness on no-goods,
Heaven’s grease of ease on hard labor;
Rising high, filling up, stretching out
Reaching where once they fell short.

Knowledge empowers us to access all we can while grace avails. If you don’t know, you can’t do much. People rarely rise above their level of understanding because what we know influences our capacities, which determine our investments and returns. We sing and talk about grace but the true meaning is often lost in myriads of words and activities as ignorance strings us from one season to the other, leaving us not any better. While some wallow in inactivity, others are lugging more than they can actually carry.

We take stock at the end of the day and all we see is losses in spite of what we did or failed to do. We weep through times of rejoicing, weak and wanting in moments of divine visitation. The hour of deliverance passes us by as bondmen, healing breaks forth and we ail still. Grace and mercy abounds but our struggles continue. Our inability to understand seasons costs us the things we would have exploited by grace.

Like Solomon said, there is time for everything. And there is another aspect of grace that is referred to as Jubilee. Jubilee is the year when the long and loud blasts of trumpets proclaim unconditional liberty and all round restoration throughout the land. It is the year of superabundant provision and supernatural protection. The year of unmerited favor and excellent results when the earth yields its increase that we may eat our fill and bless the Lord like never before. Jubilee is the year of celebration and rededication.

It is the year of settlement when the poor regain what they cannot buy, enslaved sons walk away without a price, prodigal children return in repentance, estranged relationships are restored, and the solitary joyfully receive their own homes. It is the year of release when people are freed from diverse oppressions and afflictions and the sorrowful find cause to rejoice and be exceedingly glad. The year of emancipation when borders are broken so God’s people can expand and rebuild. The year when limits are taken off so they can stretch their wings and fly!

Jubilee is the year of praise and peace when grace cheerfully justifies, mercy gladly acquits, good fervently seeks, favor excitedly finds, and love jubilantly restores as many as have strayed, back to surpassing glory. It is the year of return, when Abba’s love rises above transgressions and mercy triumphs over judgment as He reaches out with vindication and commendation. It is the year of homecoming and ingathering when believers enjoy God’s goodness without struggles.

Whatever has been lost is redeemable and jubilee is the time to take it back. If you don’t know, ignorance will leave you in bondage and penury while others are enjoying the exceedingly great promises of God. However, understanding will help you to confidently rise and lift up the voice of praise when that hour of restoration arrives. You don’t have to merit it. You have been qualified by grace. You don’t need to save to buy back your freedom from addiction and all kinds of bondage. It is Abba’s anniversary gift to every child, His way of saying, “Welcome back home child,” “Well done beloved,” “Now enter and enjoy the rest of your Father.” Yes, jubilee is the year of rest!

There are no limits to what you can enjoy during this vacation with Abba. As a royal priest, you have an unrestricted and unconditional release from above so be sensitive in your spirit for that season and grab it with both hands when you get the signal that it is here! It extends to your family and possessions. It is a glorious opportunity to reclaim lost rights and assets, to possess unclaimed ones, and enjoy Sabbath like never before. It is real and how much you claim and reclaim depends on how much you know and how prepared you are. I am praying, “Lord, open the eyes of my heart to understand my times and seasons, and to make the most of each, amen.” I hope this will be your prayer too.

Glory!
