Life carves new notches
For those willing to dare.
Every day, without warning
Life makes new demands
On those aching for change.
Every day, with no heads up
Life presents new tests
To those ready to rise.
Every day, without signs
Life spreads fresh opportunities
That only those who dare to step out
Can experience, exploit and enjoy.

Food For Thought: Life happens every day for the living. Unfortunately, it is not only the dead who miss out. Many who are alive get stuck at some point and are blind to the new offers that life presents daily. To the ones who want change, life comes with surprises. To those aching for better, it comes testing. To those desiring more, it shows up demanding even more. It appears that though God trusts you and me, life doesn’t and consequently must test before it can trust us with anything new or more. You may assume that you are qualified but life must prove before it confirms. From day to day, life comes to one and to all, with custom made circumstances, designed to make us fit, dispatched to test and to prove, that we have what it takes to be moved up to the next level. In line with our dreams and desires, life presents opportunities that many discard as problems. Those who have eyes see beyond threatening challenges and riding the storm, are delivered at desired destination. But those who are afraid or unwilling duck and hide and miss the chance for change.

Scripture: Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going. Ecclesiastes 9: 10.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to readily, cheerfully, and wisely embrace and utilize the opportunities that every new day brings my way, amen.
