Today, I settle in my heart
To love all and cling to none
To owe no one nothing but love
To set God above all else –
To Him I owe my life and all.
Today I settle in my heart
To love God and cling to Him
To let Him guide through life’s affairs.
Everyone and everything comes and goes
God alone never quits or
 leaves;
Always there and always near.
Through everything He lives, He leads
And He brings me through: triumphant!

Food For Thought: Who has never seen hard times in their life? I really would like to meet the person(s). I would like to know how they rocked a seamless life. As for me, I have had tons of tough times and I have learned: tough times come to pass but tough people are anchored. In fact, the harsh pull of times plants the feet of the tough deeper into the ground, making it harder to topple or uproot them. There is no other way to develop strength except through these exercises that life thrusts upon us. Our quality is proven by how well we emerge from each of life’s storms. Tough times appear like they will last forever, like they are stuck on you. If you let them, tough times will steal your peace, your joy, your health and wealth, even down to your life. You have to be tougher to beat these mean times and recover everything it is attempting to steal from you, bonus inclusive. Wherever you are today, celebrate yourself: you have toughed it up until now. You are stronger than you thought! Celebrate where you are today because it proves that you are stronger than all you’ve been through. You are a tough nut. You have broken through things that came to crack you. You have been through trials and triumphed so today, take time out to celebrate who you are, where you are, and Him who has helped you thus far: congratulations!

Scripture: Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 2 Corinthians 2: 14.

Prayer: Dear Lord, You know the road ahead, I don’t: may I willingly and readily surrender my all to Your wisdom and guidance, amen.
