Because He came
We live full of hope
Because He came
We have faith in God
Who knows our weaknesses
Yet wore our shoes.
We have faith in God
Who knew our pains
Yet took it over.
We have faith in God
Who s
aw our condemnation
Yet took our place.
Yes, we have faith in God
Who believed so much in us
He chose rather to die that we might live.

Food For Thought: Would you be willing to die for your spouse, your child, sibling, or friend? The thought of donating a part of our organ for a loved one can be scary. All kinds of questions run through our mind; what if something goes wrong and I lose the organ? What if after the medical justifications the receiver is unable to use it? Is this what I really want to do? Is it worth it? Is gaining this person some extra time worth jeopardizing mine? The medical experts involved may have a history of success but what if they make a mistake? What if they miss it this time? What if the only one I am left with packs up – will I be left to die or will there be someone who will stand up for me? This is just a part of our organ, how much more our life? In a vision, my brother and I were trapped in a crises. I had a key that could only spare one life, mine or his. Which do you think I chose? I longed to save my brother. I felt he deserved the chance to live a full and great life but I was also considering my dreams …. I came to, while still pondering on who to save. Would I have made the right decision? Who determines what is right or not at such a time, under such circumstance? Life is the most precious of all; our response is to keep it, save it, lengthen it, not lay it down for another. Yet, that is what Christ did for us. He believed in us so much that He chose to take our place in death so that we can live His will, His way, His dreams.

Scripture: For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens. Hebrews 7: 26.

Prayer: Dear Lord, You didn’t have to come for me, You didn’t have to die for me: I am eternally grateful that You came, that You died, and that You live forever in me and through me, amen.
