Abba: An adult is a child who has grown in the processes of learning that waiting does not mean denial, demotion, or deterioration. He has come to understand that the vision has a time and though it may seem to tarry according his time, it does not come too early or too soon to its timing. He understands that he doesn’t have to make it come. Instead, he keeps himself meaningfully engaged knowing that it drops at the right time. That is what happens when a fruit is ripe. You don’t have to force it, it drops in its time, into the hands of the patient.
An adult is someone who has earned the virtue of patience and is not afraid or upset to wait for time and chance to serve her portion for each phase. There is a time for everything on earth. When you force things, it leaves funny tastes on your tongue and can hurt your system because it is not ready for consumption. However, when that same thing is properly cooked and served, then you can sit back and relish the taste because it came ready. You were ready, it was ready, it all works together for good. I cannot say the same for when you are not ready or when it is not ready. Some things are better not forced.
An adult is one, who by reason of experience, has learned, to distinguish between his desires and My will. It is not everything you want that you get because not everything you want edifies. I will not give you anything that is contrary to My will for your life. I am not just carving out My will for you. It was decided long before you were born. I am not switching and changing it according to your plans and desires. I answer and provide according to what has already been determined. You may not know but I know and I cannot pretend not to know. Neither can I, in attempt to appear good to you, answer and provide contrary to divine plan and purpose. Everything I do and give is according to that plan. An adult therefore is one who has learned to find the Master’s plan for his life and to ask and expect accordingly.
Do not forget that My ways are not your ways and My time is not your time. Eternity is like a day to Me and a day, like eternity so our times vary. My right time may seem like eternity to you but My time is the right time, not yours. An adult is one who has learned to wait for and to discern My times because they are her times of reward and honor. Beloved, after you have done as you ought, you need to befriend patience lest haste and discouragement steal your due reward when it comes because you have moved on in pursuit of fleeting shadows and ephemeral pleasures. Let My wisdom guide you on this matter.
