It’s easier to follow those we see than God we don’t.
Tangible appears more real than invisible Jehovah
Thus some are numb to His Presence, oblivious
Of His power, unresponsive to His word, uncaring
Of His ways. Thus the world, like the blind trudges
Daily to doom yet amidst the madness, is a people
Standing tall, standing out, daring to find God
In a world that denies Him, following close though
They stick out sore. If you’re wondering, “How do I
Find Him?” God is not a mystery to be unveiled.
Feel your heart, hear its beat – God’s breath, our
Bodies, His home. Nature bears His fingerprints;
God is everywhere, in everything, at every time
Seeking those  who hunger and thirst for Him
Those whose passion nothing less can quench
Those whose dream nothing else fulfills
To set them apart in a world where many are lost.
When our hearts reach for Him above all
When our eyes seek Him through it all
We see God in our routines, we learn, we know
Intimacy with a Friend, closer than a brother.

Food for Thought: In times when too many commitments are competing for our attention, and justly so, there is possibility that making out time to seek the face of God will fall far down our priority list, falling farther as issues emerge to claim higher places. Yet, it is in such times that seeking God should become an overriding passion. It not only opens our hearts to the fullness of Him who fills all in all, it also opens our eyes to duly allot to each demand its rightful place, frees us from carrying more than we can bear, and releases us to enjoy the gift of life while many are consumed with ever mounting pressures of living. God is not in some distant place that we must spend and be spent in order to find Him. God is right where we are, making it easier than ever before, to reach within, enthrone Him, enjoy Him, and allow Him to teach us how to enjoy life that tends to leave us running around in endless pursuits. To every hungry heart, God is at hand.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to look beyond all the pressing issues that are demanding my attention, to make You priority, and to let You lead me through the things I can attend, finding contentment with Your help on the ones I can’t, amen.
